C2.2 Surface/ Flux Receptor File: Data

This section describes the different data field found in the surface/flux receptor files. Only time series files will be produced for the surface data (see Overview).

 

Data contained in the surface receptor files:

 

NR FIELD   UNIT MEANING  

1 Date   - Date of the model time (String)

2 Time   - Model time of clock at output (String)

3 modTime min Model time in min since start

4 z   m Always zero, for compatibility with the other receptor files

5 T0   K Surface Temperature

6 dT0/dt   K/h  Change in Surface Temperature (see remark)

7 q0   g/kg  Surface Humidity

8 uv1   m/s Horizontal Wind Speed above surface 

9 w1   m/s Vertical Component Wind Speed above surface (positive: upward)

9 T1   K Air temperature of grid point above the surface

10 H   W/mē Sensible Heat Flux 

11 LE   W/mē Latent Heat Flux

12 G   W/mē Soil Heat Flux, positive: directed into the soil 

13 Km   mē/s Mass Exchange Coefficient at Surface 

14 Kh   m2/s Turbulent Exchange Coefficient for Heat at Surface

15 Qkw.dir W/mē Max Direct Shortwave Radiation (see remark)

16 Qkw.dif W/mē Max Diffuse Shortwave Radiation 

17 Qlw.Budg W/mē Longwave Radiation Budget of surface

18 Qlw.surf W/mē Longwave Emission of Surface

19 Qlw.sky W/mē Absorbed Longwave Radiation from the Sky (see remark)

20 Qlw.leafs W/mē Absorbed Longwave Radiation from Vegetation (see remark)

21 Qlw.envir W/mē Absorbed Longwave Radiation from Environment (Buildings)(see remark)
